Educational leaders blog

Educational leaders use blogs to networking, communicating professional ideals, receiving feedback and reviewing their own reflections on important data.  Blogs make it easy for educators to communicate from state to state or nation to nation.

What is action research?

Action research in my opinion is a necessity, in the academic world.  When a company depends on an outside resource for information and data, the truth can be exaggerate and no solution or resolution may be the ending the result of the research.  With action research, there is an inside resource that is using a systematic approach to solve problems that may come about in school districts and classrooms.   The steps in action research consist of, learning the problem, analyzing the data, developing the data, exploring ideals, determining the best recommendation for the problem, taking action to correct the problem and sustaining improvement.  The person conducting the studies can range from an administrator, teacher or aide.  This person will go step by step to solve problems that hinder academic performance and advancement.   Reflection is also a factor in action research.  Reflection can be used from the beginning to the end of action research.  It allows the researches to look back and brainstorm on ideals or decisions.  It makes the person understand the honest truth of a situation and how they can learn from its outcome.  Action research also encourages lifelong learning, leadership skills, open communication and professional learning communities.  These entities cannot exist without the other.
